Liz Wood – has 22 years’ experience in publishing, media sales, agency sales and hotel and venue sales and marketing, working in the hotel industry on both pre and post opening hotels within DeVere, IHG and Macdonald Hotels and Resorts (Sheffield and Manchester). For the last 10 years Liz has been the founder/director at LWA, and as a hotel and venue sales and marketing consultant she has developed projects for both branded chain and independent properties across the UK and Channel Islands.
Liz Wood’s team has provided sales, marketing and PR solutions to hotel companies such as Sanguine Hospitality, now Interstate Hotels, on their launch of Hotel Indigo in the UK, and worked with the sales team to promote the largest Hampton by Hilton in Birmingham, as well as the Hampton by Hilton Exeter, Doubletree by Hilton Cadbury House Bristol, Holiday Inn Express Birmingham and the Hampton by Hilton Newport.
But it’s not just branded hotels. LWA has successfully supported a number of unusual venues including LEGOLAND Windsor Hotel, Sheffield United Football Club, Edinburgh Zoo, Leicester City Football Club, Huntingdon Racecourse Cambridgeshire and their partner Compass Catering (Lime Venue Portfolio), the National Trust Quarry Bank Mill, Waterside Arts Centre, Sale, and a number of privately owned and independent hotels up and down the country.

Helen Rathbone brings with her over 20 years of experience in advertising sales, publishing, event management, hospitality, including a role as Sales Manager at the Macdonald Compleat Angler, Marlow, and latterly as a freelance sales and marketing consultant to hotels, venues and restaurants.
Sue Briggs has worked in sales roles for hotel groups and properties such as Choice and Macdonald Old Swan Harrogate. Sue is an expert at telephone sales cold calling and heads up our tele-sales team. She has worked for LWA for 10 years.
Sue Bruce was formerly an agency sales director for IHG and brings over 20 years of direct sales experience. She works extensively with southern UK based conference and business travel agents, and conducts targeted field sales campaigns and exhibition representation for LWA. She has been a member of the team for 10 years.
PR and Social Media Associate
Sarah Lewis has 20 years of experience in marketing, media training, social media and public relations on both the client side of the conference and hotel industry, as well as in the agency sector. This includes being Marketing Services and PR Manager launching Rocco Forte Hotels five star Lowry Hotel, and six years as a PR and Marketing Manager with IHG. Later as a founder director of hospitality marketing services and PR agency, Sarah and her PR team have developed media campaigns for a number of 3, 4 and 5 star hotel groups, independent hoteliers, exclusive retailers, bar/restaurants/caterers and leading event management companies.
